Within the last five years, New York City's crime rate has increased numerously. However, that doesn't stop the tourists and swarms of people from crowding the streets. Even at night. The Police Squad has since doubled. There are police cars, motorcycles, and the good old fashioned horse police that patrol the city at night, but for some reason the crime rate is still high. All they can think is... How are they getting past us? And crap, am I going to get fired? Although, the police and investigators have some kind of lead, and they think it might be a massive gang murder spree. When the dead bodies are found, there are always two puncture wounds, usually on the neck, shoulder, or wrist.

And they're partially right; the murders are gang related- vampire gang related. Underneath the city there's another city, or so the evil vampires call it. It's more like a giant mansion where each vampire gets his/her own room. That is where the gang of evil vampires live, and come nightfall- they hunt. Their ability to move quickly, fight strong, and listen out for cops is the reason why they get away with so many killings. But hey, what's a hungry vampire supposed to do?

The good vampires know how to live without feeding on innocent humans. What's that? A good vampire? Yes, if a good vampire raises a newborn vampire correctly, than it will be good as well. They feed off of vermin, wild animals, and occasionally if they crave human blood they feed off of criminals. Why are they good? Nobody really knows what drove this race of vampires to become good, and they try to help and befriend the humans, but the humans are still very cautious around them, and some can't believe that the vampires are good.

The humans know of the vampires? Some do, yes. And those humans have groups that hunt vampires. There are the street boys, who roam the streets at night, and then there is the group of police officers that roam the streets at night as well, and hunt the vampires. Then, there's the occasional human who wants to join the blood-suckers, but the evil vampires are not so sure about these certain humans...
